Tanya is a Financial Empowerment Worker with our Financial Empowerment Program. She is a graduate from the Assaulted Women and Children’s Counselor/Advocate Program and has completed training in Personal Finance. She has over 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Her experience has been extensive and ranged from work with parents, youth and young children. She has also provided case management for individuals experiencing mental health issues.
Her work focuses on helping low income families gain valuable financial literacy skills. Through her work, Tanya has been able to help facilitate the return of much needed monies to marginalized individuals. Through the FEPS program Tanya has had the opportunity to work alongside many organizations with the same goals and views of financial literacy. She has done this through the facilitation of various workshops that focus on topics such as budgeting/banking and credit.
