We’re Hiring a Corner Commons Design/Build Assistant!

The Design/Build Assistant will assist with this year’s installation of Corner Commons, along with the day-to day maintenance and operations of the space. They should be passionate about creating equitable public spaces and working with a large group of people to bring a collective community vision to life.

This role is 35 hours per week (full-time) for 8 weeks, starting May 2022. The pay rate is $15 per hour.

This position has been funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, candidates must also:
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to who refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada .
• The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
