Happy Pride Month from the Jane/Finch Centre!
Pride Month is an acknowledgment of the ongoing challenges and the progress yet to be made for 2SLGBTQ+ rights and joy; a reflection of the historical legacy of Black trans women and queer resistance against police brutality and state repression; and a celebration of our 2SLGBTQ+ neighbours and community members.
As a resident-led agency, we lend our support to all equity-seeking groups in our community and their reflective and shared calls for the dismantling of systemic barriers, justice, peace and/or liberation.
Our agency represents and serves a diverse community, which includes various sexual and gender identities. We are committed to providing safe and identity-affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQ+, transgender and non-binary community members, where every resident has the right to feel safe as their authentic selves in our spaces. We are also dedicated to supporting our incredible partners and the organizations providing programming and hyper-local supports to 2SLGBTQ+ residents in our community.
