Collaborating across sectors to help neighbourhoods and communities rise

In an interview with the Toronto Star, Michelle Dagnino, executive director of the Jane/Finch Centre, discussed how United Way Greater Toronto (UWGT) is transforming communities by supporting individuals and tackling systemic barriers. Through initiatives like FOCUS Situation Tables and partnerships with organizations like Aecon, UWGT is creating lasting change by empowering neighborhoods with economic opportunities and resources.

“We’re asking the community, ‘How can this money be best spent?’ and then, we’re providing support to these residents and these grassroots organizations to implement their idea” said Dagnino.
