Ways to get involved and support our work

The Jane/Finch Centre’s work is made possible through the support and partnership of our volunteers, placement students, community partners, and supporters. Below are a few ways you can get involved and be part of this work.

  • One-Time & Monthly Giving
    Make a secure one-time or monthly donation through CanadaHelps. Your contribution supports community-based solutions and helps address systemic barriers faced by residents in the Jane-Finch community.

    In-Kind Donations
    We gratefully accept in-kind donations depending on our current capacity and needs. At this time, we only accept new items. If you’re interested in providing an in-kind donation, please contact Kirsten at kirstend@janefinchcentre.org.

    Where Your Gift Goes
    Your donation allows us to remain responsive and community-led — helping us offer services that are accessible, essential, and grounded in care.

    Last year, we supported over 20,000 residents through our programs. Your support helps us continue:

    • Creating safe spaces and tailored programming for multi-barriered youth

    • Offering financial empowerment and problem-solving supports

    • Supporting early childhood development for children and caregivers

    • Addressing food insecurity through essential food distribution

    • Reducing isolation and supporting health for low-income seniors

    • Helping newcomers navigate systems and build community

    • Increasing access to mental health and wellness services

  • The Neighbourhood Collection: As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2026, we reflect on the commitments that have guided us for five decades: putting residents at the centre of our work, strengthening community capacity, and responding to the needs of our neighbourhood. You can purchase a limited-edition JFC t-shirt, hoodie, or crewneck. All proceeds support programs and services at the Jane/Finch Centre.     Family-to-Family Program: The Family-to-Family Program connects donors with families in the Jane-Finch community, helping ensure access to essentials like gift cards, toiletries, household goods, children’s gifts, and winter clothing. Open to individual donors and corporate sponsors, the program offers a meaningful way to support families and celebrate community care during the holiday season.
